Clydebank Rental Agreement
All vehicle rentals in Clydebank are governed by a comprehensive Rental Agreement that you will receive upon booking confirmation or at the time of vehicle collection. This document outlines important terms and conditions, including insurance specifics, fees, and your obligations during the rental period. In the event of any discrepancies between these Terms and the Rental Agreement, the latter will prevail.
Eligibility Criteria
Vehicle Rental Requirements
- To rent a vehicle in Clydebank, you must be at least 21 years old, though age restrictions can vary based on the vehicle type, with possible extra fees for drivers under 25. A valid full driving licence is required, along with identification and proof of your current address. Valid payment details and a security deposit must also be provided, along with any other conditions outlined in the Rental Agreement.
Booking and Payment Process
- Reservations can be made online, by phone, or at our Clydebank office. A deposit may be necessary to confirm your booking. The total payment and a security deposit are generally required upon picking up your vehicle. All prices are listed in British Pounds (£) and include VAT where applicable. We accept major credit and debit cards, processed securely by trusted payment providers.
Clydebank Vehicle Pickup & Drop-off
- At the time of collection, it is important to conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle and report any pre-existing damage without delay. A vehicle condition report will be prepared and signed by both parties. Please ensure that the vehicle is returned in the same condition as it was collected, accounting for standard wear and tear. Any new damage will be evaluated and may incur additional charges. The vehicle should be returned with the same fuel level as when collected; otherwise, refueling fees will apply. If you anticipate a delay in returning the vehicle, please contact us promptly to discuss potential late return charges. You are liable for any parking fines, traffic violations, or other charges accrued during the rental period, in addition to an administration fee.
5. Insurance and Responsibility
- All rentals come with basic third-party insurance. You can find the full coverage details and excess amounts outlined in the Rental Agreement. Additional insurance options may be offered to help limit your financial exposure. It is advisable to review these options thoroughly. You remain liable for any damage or loss up to the insurance excess, unless additional coverage is purchased. Damage resulting from negligence, misuse, or violation of these Terms remains your responsibility, regardless of existing insurance.
Clydebank Car Hire: Changes and Cancellations

7. Restricted Activities
Prohibited vehicle uses:
- Use of the vehicle for any unlawful activities is prohibited. Engaging in racing, rallying, off-roading, or similar risky endeavors is not allowed. Transporting hazardous materials is strictly forbidden. Sub-letting the vehicle or permitting unauthorized drivers is not permitted. Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is illegal. The vehicle must be used for its intended purpose only, and passenger or weight limits must not be exceeded. Driving beyond the agreed geographical boundaries requires prior approval.
Breach of these terms may lead to rental cancellation and extra fees.
